SUMMARY:Sound for Sensitive Systems
DESCRIPTION:Join Abby\, a music therapist\, therapeutic sound practitioner\, and fellow highly sensitive person\, for a unique opportunity to experience therapeutic sound in a way that is designed intentionally for those who seek a more gentle approach to therapeutic work and nervous system support. This 90 minute session is created for Highly Sensitive People\, those who struggle to relax in group settings\, anyone whose systems feel consistently overwhelmed and on alert and anyone apprehensive\, but curious about therapeutic sound work. Perfect for anyone who is craving the deep relaxation that therapeutic sound can provide\, but may require clinician-informed care and discretion. \nThe session is intentionally limited to a small group so that ample space can be provided between each person. Gentle and intentional instrumentation and flow following the ‘less is more’ approach will be provided throughout the session following a brief guided progressive muscle relaxation meditation to help settle you into your body. Sound levels will consistently be kept at a gentle\, nurturing level. Time for processing or questions will be provided at the end\, though there is no expectation to talk or process unless desired. All participation is up to your own comfort level at all times. The hardest part is simply showing up. \nWhile we do have blankets\, mats\, and props\, please feel free to bring whatever will help you feel most comfortable (blankets\, pillows\, etc.). We will be lying on the floor and do have a few foam mats for those who seek extra support – if you prefer a different accommodation please reach out to me directly at resonant.heart.mke@gmail.com. \nA gentle and beautiful support to your own care and needs. ✨ \nTo register\, visit Resonant Heart’s website here.\n*Please disclose (will be held in full privacy and confidence) if you have any of the following: pacemaker/defibrillator\, open wounds\, recent surgery (within 6 weeks of the date of the group)\, metallic implants\, pregnancy\, anything else you have concern or questions about regarding sound & vibration. You can let Abby know at the group\, or email at resonant.heart.mke@gmail.com. A signed consent will need to be on file with the facilitator in order to participate in the group sessions (will be provided at your first group)* \nAbout the facilitator: Abby Jacobi is a Board-Certified Music Therapist & Peter Hess® Sound Massage Practitioner providing services through Resonant Heart\, a Wellness Centered Music Therapy & Clinical Therapeutic Sound Integration practice. SUMMARY:Evening Kirtan & Satsang
DESCRIPTION:Immerse yourself in the healing power of sound and stillness. This kirtan and meditation offering provides a sacred space to reconnect with your inner self through soulful chanting\, guided meditation\, and community presence. \nKirtan is a form of devotional chanting rooted in the Bhakti yoga tradition. It involves the call-and-response singing of sacred mantras and is a heart-opening practice that quiets the mind\, uplifts the spirit\, fostering a deep sense of connection with yourself\, others\, and the divine. \nAll levels are welcome – no experience needed\, just an open heart. \nThis donation-based offering is a heartfelt opportunity to give back in gratitude\, supporting both the facilitator and The Center that lovingly holds space for this nurturing experience. \n\nAbout the Facilitator: David Eber\, BA from Boston University\, is an 800 Hour Jivamukti Yoga Teacher\, Recovery Coach and Kirtan Wallah. He is blessed to have three beautiful children and five amazing grandchildren. For 28 years\, David was in the apparel business. He owned a highly successful ladies clothing manufacturing company until selling the business in 2006. The cost of material success was physical\, emotional\, and spiritual disease. Leaving behind the corporate world\, the path of yoga gave him the knowledge\, tools and practices to heal. He gratefully embarked on this path of service\, surrender and devotion. He is passionate toward helping others find joy\, contentment\, connection\, and peace. From NYC\, Paris\, Munich to Costa Rica\, he has shared the teachings that helped guide him from darkness to light\, eastern modalities such as breathwork\, meditation and yoga. He specializes in assisting others to manage physical maladies\, addiction and depression. During the pandemic\, with gratitude\, he has been studying kirtan\, harmonium and devotional singing with peace activist and Grammy award winner\, the beloved Snatam Kaur. This has deepened his passion for Bhakti Yoga that brings deep inner healing and peace. It is his heartfelt wish to share these beautiful and rich teachings by giving back to the community or sangha.
