SUMMARY:Music as Medicine: Relaxation
DESCRIPTION:Music in Wellness Series ~ Music as Medicine: Relaxation \nChances are you are already using music in your own life to relax\, get hyped up for an event\, exercise\, celebrate\, or even focus or reflect. Using music and sound is as natural for us as breathing – an experience that can be deeply personal or collectively unifying. Something so ‘simple’ that it is often overlooked as a powerful therapeutic resource. \nJoin Abby\, board-certified music therapist and owner of Resonant Heart\, for an introduction into the use of music and sound as a therapeutic resource for effective relaxation in our world of stress and high anxiety. In this session we will learn about musical elements that assist relaxation and how to use them in your own daily life\, the power of preference\, live versus recorded music\, and resources for conscious listening – ending the session with a gentle live sound bath offering. No musical experience necessary – come as you are and leave with new ideas and resources. \nWe will be lying or sitting on the floor for a portion of the session\, and have a limited amount of blankets and mats. Please feel free to bring whatever will help you feel most comfortable (mats\, blankets\, pillows\, etc.). Chairs and a few foam mats are available for those who seek extra support – if you prefer a different accommodation please reach out to me directly at resonant.heart.mke@gmail.com and I will be happy to work with you to create the most comfortable option possible. \nContribution: Tickets are $45 and are limited to 12 group members. \nSign up to reserve your spot here. \nWe look forward to seeing you!

SUMMARY:Trust: Mixtape Mixer
DESCRIPTION:Join us for another lovely evening of community\, discussion\, and creative outlet – all connected to the Community Monthly Mixtape Project. ✨ More details on the Community Monthly Mixtape Project can be found here: https://www.resonantheartmke.com/monthlymixtape \nIn this opportunity for connection we will share and listen to the songs that were compiled throughout the month to the monthly mixtape\, discuss the theme\, intent\, and open up channels for perspective shifts\, chances to be heard\, and supportive acceptance. Time will also be provided for anyone who wishes to share anything related to the monthly theme (songs\, poems\, artwork\, thoughts\, food\, etc. etc. etc.) or to simply sit back and just be. \nSome snacks and tea will be available – feel free to bring anything you wish to share. (NO ALCOHOL\, PLEASE) \nThink ‘Book Club’\, but for a community outlet based on a theme. A listening party\, if you will; where we will lay back\, listen to the songs\, read through the lyrics\, and share at whatever capacity makes you feel most comfortable. 🎶 (The theme for January is TRUST) \nLed by Abby Jacobi\, Board-Certified Music Therapist\, Peter Hess Sound Massage Practitioner\, & Human – this session is offered as a community outlet. Spots are limited to 15\, so please reserve yours ahead of time. \nRSVP here. While there is a suggested donation of $15\, this is a ‘Pay-As-You-Can’ community event. Can’t wait to see you!
