Discover the art of intuitive painting in this watercolor still life workshop, where we’ll explore stillness, presence, and personal expression. Inspired by a variety of carefully chosen objects, you’ll be encouraged to paint from a place of curiosity and inner connection. This meditative approach invites you to slow down, tune inward, and connect deeply with your own artistic rhythm.
All materials provided and tea will be available.
Contribution: $10-20 sliding scale. Minimum of 4 registrations. Tickets cannot be reimbursed unless the event gets canceled by the host.
Accessibility: We will be seated in chairs for the workshop. Please note that there are a few stairs to enter into the building.

About the workshop facilitator: Emily Downes is a Milwaukee-based artist whose creative practice involves multimedia modes of making, including video, animation, photography, music, painting, sewing and puppetry. For Emily, making art comes full circle when engaged with community, as she is most passionate for sharing her talents with all ages while collaborating with local artists to build a strong and vibrant community.
